What does Technical Management entail?
DVSM provides technical management, which includes but is not limited to the following services:
a. Ensuring that the vessels comply with the requirements of the law of the flag state.
b. Ensuring compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) code
c. Ensuring compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code
d. Providing competent personnel to supervise the maintenance and general efficiency of the vessels
How does DVSM manage ships?
We ensure operational readiness of the fleet by performing and managing the following activities:
a. Conservation of value/life cycle management and online monitoring of technical parameters/ ship operation
b. Technical inspections / condition assessment surveys and procurement/logistics from door to deck
c. Class maintenance and energy efficiency management
d. Dry docking and repairs/upgrading and modification projects
e. Planned maintenance and condition monitoring and regular technical condition reports
f. Budget preparation and adherence and green ship recycling/inventory of Hazardous Materials
g. Technical consultancy service, repair and conversion and integrated satellite/IT solutions
How does DVSM manage crew?
DVSM provides suitably qualified crew who comply with the requirements of STCW 95 by:
a. Selecting, engaging and providing for the administration of the crew, including as applicable: payroll arrangements, pension arrangements, taxes, social security contributions and other mandatory dues related to their employment payable in each crew members’ country of domicile.
b. Ensuring that the applicable requirements of the law of the flag state in respect of the rank, qualification, and certification of the crew and employment regulations, such as crew’s tax and social insurance are satisfied.
What is DVSM's obligation to owners?
DVSM endeavors to provide the management services agents for and behalf of the owners in accordance with sound ship management practice and to protect and promote the interests of the owners in all matters relating to the provision of services.
